My Antonym diamante poem

My Reflection
I have been leaning to write an antonym diamante poem. An antonym  means the opposite. My poem is about Christmas and Easter . I found this activity easy because I  knew what to do.I enjoyed this a lot  my next step is to make shore that I follow the pattern.

I have been leaning to proofread my work. Proofreading is important because no-one will under stand . I found this easy because I knew what to do. My next step is to see if all spelling is correct.

WALT read analogue clocks and write the time in numbers and words.  I found this activity tricky because i am still learning to thell the time.  My next step is to practice telling the time at home

this term we have been learning about matter. we did an experiment to observe the charges  of two types of matter. I was surprised that the salted ice made ice cream faster.

Matariki poems

We have been learning to write a haiku and a acrostic poem 

my favourite poem to write was the haiku poem because it was easy to get information

these poems are both very different because a haiku has 3 lines

The hardest poem to write was the acrostic poem because it was hard to get ideas.

My next step is to write an acrostic poem and haiku with a different topic.

Explanation Writing

I have been learning to write a simple explanation. this is  the process  I used to write my explanation.  First we did a brainstorm using Popplet to find information.  Then we used a framework to help us draft our explanation.  Lastly we published our explanation.  I found this tricky because it was tricky to find out the information.  My next step is to do an explanation on my own.

Bike Skills

this term I learnt haw to ride a bike, and I learnt sum trikes .It was hared at first but I got the hang of it.

Kung Fu

Kung Fu 
Madison, Samantha it is time for KUNG FU!
When Room 12 got to the (EPS) hall we sat down and listened to the Kung Fu teacher. First she said have you watched Kung Fu Panda 3 yet? Me and most of my class said yes. I thought it was one of the best movies ever!   We watched the Kung Fu Master do some of the moves that we will be learning. First we learnt how to do a Salute, you tuck your thumb in with one hand, and make a fist with the other one, then you put them together. We learnt three more moves after that. I felt like I was a Kung Fu Master myself, it was exciting and I felt that I was super flexible. I didn't want to go out, I wanted to learn more moves.

My Pepeha Art

 

A few weeks ago my class made Pepeha.   A Pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in Maori.  It has  a hill  and a learning pathway.  I had fun and I am really proud of my picture.

We have been learning to idenhfy odd and even numbers and numbers less then 20 

We did an activety on nrich using a venn iagram. I found this easy because I  knew most of

the stuff.  My next step is to do this with bigger numbers.

My Reflection

I have been learning to write a Did You Ever Poem.  I found this tricky because I have never done one before and I wasn't sure what to do.  The examples helped me.  My next step is to do it by my self.

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog.  This year I am in Room 12 and my teacher is
Mrs Melville.  I enjoy swimming.  This year I am looking forward to swimming and going on trips.  I hope you enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
